The namens of both sponge bags refer to GDR buildings. "Water lily" is a concrete building friom the architect Ulrich Müther from the 80s - located in Potsdam. The motive "Swimming Pool" shows the front of a prefab building type, which has been used for many sports halls in many cities of the GDR. In Berlin you see examples at the Leipziger Straße and at Jannowitzbrücke.
